A Fort Campbell soldier has been placed behind bars after admitting to having an inappropriate relationship with a teenager.
Officials with the Hopkinsville Police Department in Kentucky arrested Michael Merritt on post Thursday.
Authorities said the crime allegedly happened on Christmas Day, and the victim was 15 years old.
Merritt has been charged with two counts of sodomy.
