Officials with Robertson County Schools confirmed White House Heritage High School closed early due to a gas leak.
The incident happened Friday morning, causing school to let out early.
Authorities said the gas leak was underground, and according to Jim Bellis with Robertson County Schools, students who drove to school were released, while all other students were taken to Northridge Church on Wilkinson Lane in White House where they could be picked up.
Bellis added the students were being fed a catered meal. Additional details had not yet been released by officials.
