Governor, First Lady's Home Open For Holidays

The work of Tennessee artisans was being highlighted at the Tennessee Residence as Governor Bill Haslam and first lady Crissy Haslam have opened the executive residence for self-guided tours.

Crissy Haslam's office said in a news release that the holiday decoration theme is "Tennessee Craft." Artists from across the state have loaned their work for the two-week open house.

Tours were available Mondays through Saturdays through December 17. Visitors can reserve a time by clicking here. at http://www.tn.gov/firstlady .

The first lady's office said trees and mantels in the Tennessee Residence will be decorated with a variety of original art. Trees in Conservation Hall will be decorated with ornaments made by students in Tennessee art camps last summer. Additional ornaments and decoration will come from the Jim Marvin Collection, based in Dickson.
