The search for a gunman got underway overnight after a man was shot in Hermitage.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. Wednesday along Margaret Robinson Drive.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the victim was shot in the shoulder but is expected to recover.
He was originally taken to TriStar Summit Medical Center but doctors decided to transfer him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Evidence on the scene revealed at least two bullet holes in the back of a car. Crime scene investigators taped off the scene as the investigation continued.
