Gunman's Identity Sought In McDonald's Parking Lot Shooting

Police have been searching for a suspect who shot a man in the chest in the parking lot of a local restaurant.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. Monday at the McDonald’s in the 4700 block of Charlotte Pike in West Nashville.

Officials said 41-year-old Leandro Ocampo-Gil and the suspect allegedly argued inside the restaurant just before the shooting in the parking lot.

Ocampo-Gil was shot in the chest. He was last listed in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Police described the suspect as standing around 5’7’’ tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. His shirt may have been part of a work uniform for a restaurant or other business.

Authorities released a surveillance image of the suspect. Anyone with information or the suspect’s identity has been urged to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
