People in White House hosted a city-wide Heroes' Day to show support for all emergency workers.

Organizers said the event Saturday was about celebrating and showing appreciation for community heroes.

Police officers, fire fighters, and EMT's were all treated to a free lunch and door prizes at the event at White House City Park.

Those in attendance said they’re thankful for events like this that show them how much they’re appreciated.

The event was free to all who came out.
