Students at Hillwood High School were briefly evacuated after a small fire broke out inside the building.
The incident was reported early Tuesday morning at the school located on Davidson Road in West Meade.
Joe Bass, spokesman for Metro Nashville Public Schools, said the school was evacuated after a small fire occurred in the boiler room.
Officials with the Nashville Fire Department were called to the scene and worked to extinguish it.
Students were evacuated to the football field until the all clear was given.
