A woman has been listed in serious condition after being hit by a car in Nashville.
Authorities with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the incident happened sometime after 3 a.m. Sunday on Brick Church Pike near Trinity Lane, close to Interstate 65.
According to reports, the woman was intoxicated at a local gas station. She was asked to leave, which was when she allegedly walked out into the street.
Officials said she was hit by a driver going east on Trinity Lane.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries where she was listed in serious condition.
Authorities said the driver was being cooperative, and it was unknown if there would be any charges.
The investigation was ongoing.
