Thousands of dollars’ worth of supplies has been collected for flood victims in Louisiana, and it was all thanks to donations from people in Wilson County.

Victory Baptist Church in Mt Juliet and Prime Nation Entertainment teamed up to host a flood relief drive.

They collected everything from food, drinks, and paper towels to insulation and shovels to help rebuild communities.

Organizers said the outpouring of support was incredible.

“Whenever I saw the images of the flood, it just spoke to my heart,” Jeremy Hayes said. “These people need help. It’s up to someone to do it, so let's team up with Victory Baptist to bless the people there who need help right now.”

The supplies will be loaded up Tuesday at 8 a.m. and will be sent to Louisiana.

A team from the church will also be heading to Louisiana in October to help flood victims.
