Man Charged, Gun Pulled During Road Rage Incident

Posted

A man has been facing charges after allegedly pulling a gun on another driver.

Officials with the Franklin Police Department said 49-year-old Eric Geiling, of Lewisburg, pulled up behind a motorcyclist who had stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 65 South on Saturday.

That's when Geiling allegedly pulled out the gun and threatened to kill the motorcyclist because he didn't like the way the person was driving.

Geiling left the scene before officers arrived, but he was later arrested.

He was free on bond, but if convicted of aggravated assault, he could face several years in prison and a fine up to $10,000. Geiling has been scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m. on June 22.
