Portland Police Detectives arrested and charged a man with the attempted murder of his grandfather after finding evidence in his home linked to the crime.
They arrested Orion Sweeting, who is a former resident of Portland, but was currently living in Hendersonville.
Officials with the department said Sweeting entered his grandfather's home and cut his throat with a large knife while he was sleeping.
His Grandfather, Arthur Sweeting was severely injured, but did survive, and was able to drive himself to the police department.
Police searched the suspect's Hendersonville home and found evidence inside. They served Orion warrant at his work.
He was charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder.
