A man has died after being shot multiple times at an Antioch apartment complex.
Police responded to the Overlook Apartment Homes in the 700 block of Bell Road just before 6 a.m. Sunday after getting calls about shots fired.
When they got there, they found a 21-year-old man in the breezeway. They later found out he had arrived there moments earlier by taxi.
Authorities said he'd been shot multiple times in the abdomen, and medics rushed him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
At that time, they didn't have any witnesses or a description of the shooter.
Sunday evening, police confirmed the victim had passed away. His identity was being confirmed through the Medical Examiner's Office.
According to reports, the man had allegedly been involved in a confrontation with the gunman just after the taxi left.
The gunman fled from the scene in a small silver car.
