A man arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Authorities said the man went to Skyline Medical Center just before 9:30 p.m. Friday.
A man with the victim told officials they had been walking near Doverside and Oakwood when two men approached in a black Pontiac, attempting to rob them at gunpoint.
When the victims fled on foot, one of the suspects opened fire.
The injured victim sustained a non-life threatening wound to his leg. The other victim was not injured. No identities had been released.
The suspects were still at large. Officials said detectives in Madison were investigating the incident.
