One person was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his legs after allegedly being shot by an acquaintance.
Officials said the victim was found in the 1000 block of Dozier Place before 10 p.m. Friday.
Officers responded to a shots fired call on Gallatin Pike, and a few minutes later, a victim was discovered on Dozier Place with gunshot wounds.
The victim’s girlfriend told police they were walking behind the 2800 block of Gallatin Pike when they were approached by someone they knew whom the victim had recently had a falling out.
The suspect allegedly fired two shots at the victim before fleeing from the scene.
The victim’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Detectives said they have been working to positively identify the suspect. Further details were not available as the investigation remained ongoing.
