Police have been seeking a suspect after he was seen inside a Franklin home.
Residents at a home on Kelly Court in the Clairmonte subdivision said they woke up around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday to find the man in their home.
The owner of the home was investigating inside after hearing the doorbell ring when they found the back door open and an intruder standing in the kitchen.
The man fled when confronted by the homeowner, and officers with the Franklin Police Department said they flooded the area and used a K-9 to search for the suspect who was not found.
He was described as a slender man, standing between 5’4” and 5’9” tall. He was wearing dark-colored pants and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
Detectives have asked residents in that neighborhood to check their home surveillance systems for any unusual overnight activity.
