Police in Franklin said they arrested a man who tried to force his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home.

Reports stated 41-year-old Corzell Esmon was wanted for aggravated criminal trespass and domestic assault. Officials said Friday they were searching for him.

Saturday, authorities confirmed Esmon had surrendered himself at the jail.

According to reports, he had attempted to force his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home around 1:40 a.m. Friday.

That’s when Esmon was sprayed in the face with mace by the homeowner.

Esmon fled from the scene before officers arrived.

He was booked in jail on a $2,500 bond. Esmon has been scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m. on February 23.
