A manhunt has been ongoing for a wanted man in Robertson County.
Sandy Duke has been facing charges of aggravated burglary, forgery, theft, worthless checks, and harassment, according to the Robertson County Jail website.
He bonded out, and now Springfield police have said he violated the terms of his bond.
According to police, Duke had been on the run for more than 24 hours as of Thursday morning, and that prompted a massive search effort in Robertson County.
It was concentrated around Highway 49 and Wilks Road. Schools were even placed on a soft lockdown all day near that area.
Jim Bellis with Robertson County Schools said both Krisle Elementary and Springfield High School remained on a soft lockdown as a precautionary measure. He added, "That is the status until we receive clearance from the Robertson County Sheriff's Department."
Duke was last seen wearing a white tank top t-shirt and khaki shorts.
According to those with the Tennessee Department of Correction, Duke has had numerous felony charges spanning the past 25 years, including aggravated kidnapping, theft of property, robbery, and aggravated burglary.
While police said they don't believe anyone has been in immediate danger, they've been telling people not to approach him.
Anyone who sees Duke has been urged to call 911.
