Many roads throughout Wilson County remained icy Thursday morning following this week’s round of wintry weather.
While road conditions have been improving across the area, many trouble spots remain prevalent.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department issued a warning to motorists that many roads remained slick and hazardous after Wednesday night’s snowfall.

A crash involving a pick-up truck was reported on Interstate 40 West at mile marker 228.
NewsChannel 5 reporter Matthew Torres and photojournalist Jordan Powell reported very slick conditions on many side roads throughout Mt. Juliet. Curd Road, located not far from Mt. Juliet High School, was still very icy.

Further west, another wreck was reported along Leeville Pike in Lebanon after a vehicle apparently spun out. Police had to briefly close the road while crews worked to salt the roadway.
Many neighborhoods were still icy, as well.

Crews with the Tennessee Department of Transportation were back out on the roads and were working to treat roadways with salt.
