Throughout the week, people from all around Middle Tennessee participated in Nashville's first ever Marine Week.
Around 800 marines made their way to Music City to celebrate what being in the Corps is all about.
Each year, the squad has traveled to cities without bases to educate Americans on what they do and host demonstrations involving vehicles and aircraft.
The main goal of the tour has been to meet the Americans they serve.
"It makes you feel proud to be an American, proud to be in this town, and proud to be associated with all the citizens here," said General Glenn Walters.
Unfortunately, the Marine Week parade was canceled Saturday due to weather.
Sorry #Nashville. The #marineweek Parade has been canceled due to storms in area.

The week has been set to wrap up Sunday, but there were several more events planned, including a 9/11 memorial ceremony beginning at 9 a.m. on the War Memorial Plaza.
