Meharry Medical College has added a new member to its Board of Trustees.
Bishop Joseph Walker, the Senior Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, was named as the new member.
He'll be an active member of Meharry's Board starting immediately.
Bishop Walker said he's inspired to serve "when healthcare is evolving at a rapid rate and the need for highly-trained, compassionate and dedicated health care providers is even greater."
