Metro Police Work To Determine Shooting Location

An investigation got underway overnight in Nashville after a man was shot multiple times.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said a man showed up at TriStar Skyline Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed into surgery.

Officers were called to the hospital after receiving a call that a shooting victim showed up at the emergency room.

So far, they have not yet been able to speak with the victim.

Police said the incident may have been the result of a robbery. However, they cannot confirm at this point where the shooting actually happened.

Earlier in the night, police scanner traffic indicated that a stranger may have jumped in the victim's car and started shooting at him.
