More than 80 electric crews from Tennessee have headed to South Carolina and Florida to help restore power to residents affected by Hurricane Matthew.
Officials with Middle Tennessee Electric in Murfreesboro said they sent three crews to Florida early Friday morning.
According to the company's CEO Chris Jones, the trip is expected to take them about two days.
The volunteers will be there for about a week - helping to restore power there, and clean up downed power lines.

“There's an outreach to say ‘hey we need some help’ and we're happy to help when we can. This is a case where Middle Tennessee Electric will be sending 12 of our people,” Jones said.
Hundreds of thousands of power outages have already been reported in Florida.
Jones says a major part of that relief effort will be making sure residents and businesses have electricity to rebuild.
