Miranda Lambert Promotes MuttNation With March

Posted

Country music mega-star Miranda Lambert wasn't just in Nashville this week for award shows and performances. She also took time to work on her special pet project.

Thursday morning, she and her mother, Bev Lambert, kicked off their MuttNation March. They were raising awareness for shelter animals, a passion they share.

The two run an organization they call MuttNation that rescues dogs from high-kill shelters.

About a thousand people showed up to march. Dozens of adoptable dogs also walked with the crowd.

“This is my friend Jake, and he will be available for adoption,” Bev said about one of the dogs. “He’s about a 1-year-old beagle dog. As you can see, he’s pretty chill, so please come see us at the Convention Center and take a dog home with you!”

All of the adoptable MuttNation dogs will be at the Convention Center downtown for three days following the march. They will be looking for forever homes!
