Authorities confirmed a shell misfired and discharged during Nashville’s “Let Freedom Sing!” fireworks show.

The incident Tuesday night happened in the upper deck of Nissan Stadium.

No injuries were reported, but potential property damage was being assessed.

Officials said the damage was not expected to affect any of the scheduled events at the stadium.

Butch Spyridon, President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, said the vendor who operated the fireworks will be handling the cost of any necessary repairs.

According to reports, a misfired shell is not uncommon during large fireworks displays.

A 1,000-foot radius fallout was designated by the Nashville Fire Department, the Fire Marshal, and other local safety officials.
