More Details Released In Recreation Center Rape

Posted

After speaking with the 18-year-old victim of an alleged rape at the Hamilton Creek Recreation Center, authorities said they believe they have a better idea of the type of vehicle the suspect fled in.

The incident happened between noon and 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 4.

The victim has told officials the suspect fled in a black 2000’s model Japanese-type car with a tan interior. She added the car was dirty with a radio antenna on the front.

According to reports, the victim also remembered there may be a potential witness who saw the man flee to his car following the rape. She described the witness as a man with blonde hair. He was sitting in a parked silver Chevrolet Camaro-type car.

The victim said she saw him as she came out of the woods near the trailhead following the attack.

Authorities said they’ve been pursuing active leads.
