A motorcycle police officer was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Spring Hill.
Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the incident happened around 12:20 p.m. Thursday on North Main Street.
According to reports, the officer, identified as Tim Kennedy, was pulling out of a shopping center on his police motorcycle when a vehicle, driven by 28-year-old Ashley Roads, failed to yield to the right of way, hitting the motorcycle.
Officer Kennedy was taken to Maury Regional for minor, non-life threatening injuries.
Roads was taken to Williamson Medical Center for neck pain.
Officials confirmed Roads was charged with failure to yield right of way. No further details were available.
