Police were called to a subdivision in Mt. Juliet after a pizza driver was robbed at gunpoint.

The incident happened around 11:40 a.m. Monday on Leesa Ann Lane, located in the Hickory Hills subdivision.

Officials with Mt. Juliet Police said the driver was making a delivery at the time of the robbery.

Neighbors also reported hearing gunshots around this time, but police said it’s unclear at this point if the two are related.

Police said the suspect is believed to be a teenager who's wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt and red shoes.

He was last seen running towards the woods off Leesa Ann Lane and New London Court. The alleged getaway vehicle was captured on surveillance video and appeared to a small to midsize black SUV.

No one was hurt.

W.A. Wright Elementary School was placed on a soft lockdown due to the incident. School officials said students would be dismissed on time.

Detectives do not believe it's connected to reports of an unknown homeless man living in nearby woods

There would be extra patrols of the neighborhood over the next few days.
