Mt. Juliet Police To Escort Body Of Navy Veteran

Police have asked the public to line the streets of Mt. Juliet as they escort the body of a Navy Veteran. 

Officials with Mt. Juliet Police said the body of Petty Officer 3rd Class Benjamin Torrence will be brought back from Nashville International Airport to Sellars Funeral Home.  

In support of the family, police have asked the public to line North Mt. Juliet Road with flags as they proceed. The escort was expected to move through between 5:30 and 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Torrence passed away on July 26. He was 25.  

Members of the U.S. Navy, the American Legion, and Mt. Juliet police were expected to be in attendance.
