A crash in Coffee County has killed four people.
Those with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the wreck happened in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 near mile marker 107 in Manchester around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Four people were killed in the crash that involved a single vehicle.
Reports stated the vehicle, a 1986 Toyota Celica, was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver changed lanes and lost control.
The vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. All four people inside the vehicle were killed on impact, according to officials.
Traffic was backed up in that area for several hours as crews worked at the scene. The roadway was cleared by 4:15 p.m.
THP officials said the investigation remained ongoing.
