Nashville has been selected as one of the cities that will host the next CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2017.
The announcement was made Monday in 13 cities across the U.S.
Nashville was named as a first-time host, along with San Antonio, Cleveland and Santa Clara.
“We’re excited to bring the Gold Cup to new markets across the country. These cities have all proved ready and eager to host our region’s marquee soccer championship, and welcome world class international soccer next summer,” CONCACAF General Secretary Philippe Moggio said in a release.
The match in Nashville has been set for July 8 at Nissan Stadium.
