The opening reception for a new art exhibit at the Tennessee State Museum has taken place.
The artist, Benjamin Walls, is from Bristol, and this is his first solo exhibit. The opening was held Sunday.
In the past decade, Walls has won six international awards for his art, and his work has been displayed in 50 museums in 12 countries.
He has also helped raise more than $300,000 for charity.
He said he's excited to have his work on display in Nashville and added it’s his passion in life.
Walls’ exhibit has been set to be on display at the museum until October 2.
He also just announced the release of his new book featuring a forward by Dolly Parton which has been scheduled to hit shelves in December.
