In Music City, it's not just about hot dogs and hamburgers on the 4th of July.

Thousands of people have been expected to head out to the annual Music City Hot Chicken Festival on Monday.

Sunday, organizers spent the day getting ready.

A fire truck parade has been planned to get underway at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

After that the first 500 people in line have been set to get free samples of some of the best hot chicken in Nashville.

The gates have been scheduled to open at 11 a.m. Monday in East Park on Woodland Street with the festival wrapping up at 3 p.m. so festival goers can head to the riverfront before the live music starts.
