Park, Golf Course Privatization Plans On Hold

Posted

Plans to privatize concessions and operations of Tennessee State Parks have been placed on hold.

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation sent out an email Thursday making the announcement.

They had been looking to privatize operations at nine state golf courses, but bids from private contractors were scarce.

Even after Governor Bill Haslam approved $55 million in golf course improvements, the bids just didn't come in.
