A man was injured after police said he collided with a pickup truck's trailer while crossing a street near downtown Nashville.
The incident was reported around 5 a.m. Thursday along Lafayette Street.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the pickup truck never actually struck the victim. He was reportedly jaywalking and did not see the trailer.
No charges would be filed.
Police said the victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a broken leg and a head injury.
