A man has been charged with driving under the influence after allegedly causing a crash on Interstate 24.
The incident happened overnight Tuesday on I-24 West between I-440 and Briley Parkway.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said an intoxicated man was walking down the interstate and called a friend for a ride.
The friend – also allegedly intoxicated – drove to the location and stopped on the interstate to pick him up, causing another car to rear-end his.
No one was seriously hurt in the wreck.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene and charged with DUI. His name was not known.
