An investigation got underway in north Nashville after a man was shot.
The incident was reported early Monday morning in the 2000 block of 14th Avenue North.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the apparent victim said he’d accidentally shot himself in the foot.
Officers on the scene said they began investigating it as a possible drive-by shooting but no evidence of that was found.

The 38-year-old man was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
None of the area schools were placed on lockdown due to the shooting. Police do not believe there was any threat to the public.
