Police have been chasing a domestic violence suspect who’s on the run in Nashville.
The incident happened after 6 a.m. Friday when the suspect, identified by police as Bobby Cotton, allegedly dropped his wife off at Skyline Medical Center with visible injuries.
According to the victim, she asked her husband to take her to the hospital after he allegedly beat her.
The victim spoke with NewsChannel 5 saying she asked for help quietly from a nurse. Cotton then took off when police responded, reportedly crashing his vehicle and fleeing on foot.
Authorities said Cotton then jumped a fence in the area near Skyline, but K-9 officers were unable to track him in the nearby field.
The victim had said she acted like everything was okay in order to protect her children, but she was able to request help once at the hospital.
Police said Cotton has six warrants out for his arrest, including the warrant from Friday for domestic assault.
The investigation was ongoing.
