Police Seek To ID Alleged Bank Robber

Police have asked the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a Nashville bank in broad daylight.

The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. Thursday at the Cornerstone Financial Credit Union, located next to Vanderbilt University.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said he walked into the credit union, handed the teller a note demanding cash, and then took off on foot.

He was captured on surveillance video inside the bank.

No weapon was ever seen. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has also been called in to investigate.

Police said he's described as an Asian male in his early to mid 20s, about 5'3" tall, with acne scars and rotting teeth.

He was wearing a tan jacket and a hat with multi-colored cartoon characters on it.

Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME. The call is anonymous and could earn you a cash reward.
