After more than eight months of being closed, Lane Parkway in Shelbyville has been reopened.
The roadway was shut down in 2015 after sections of a giant storm water drain, called a flume, collapsed.
The collapse almost damaged the fire and police departments that sit along the street.
Wednesday's reopening was set to make for an easier commute in the city, but officials said there would still be some lane striping and roadside cleanup done soon.
