While many other restaurants were closed on Thanksgiving day, one popular chain served up more than a million meals to hungry people across the country.
Cracker Barrel got its start right here in the Mid-State, and it's not surprising to see their home-style Thanksgiving dinner was in high-demand Thursday.
In fact, Thanksgiving has been known to be their busiest day of the year, and the restaurant was set to dish out more than one point four million meals nationwide.
Cracker Barrel officials said they're proud to offer their guests a quality meal with that holiday taste and none of the stress.
"Holidays are always stressful for the guests, and by knowing that they can come in here, that we're going to take care of them, they can get what they want, the price is reasonable,” said Scott Whited, Cracker Barrel General Manager. “It makes it a lot easier to just come in and enjoy the holiday."
Another perk of letting Cracker Barrel take care of dinner for many guests was not having to do the dishes.
