People in Northwest Davidson County now have a new way to enjoy the great outdoors.
The Mullins Park and Whites Creek Greenway has opened. There was an official ribbon cutting held on Saturday.
The new section of the Whites Creek Greenway filled the gap in the greenway connection from Mullins Park to Hartman Park.
“It’s really accessible to lots of neighbors,” said Monique Odom, Interim Director of Metro Parks and Rec. “I encourage everybody to come and visit the park and use the greenway, and we are very excited, very excited about that.”
Mullins Park was named for Joseph Brown Mullins, a successful African American businessman who developed houses in the Bordeaux-area in the early 1920s.
