Robertson Co. Deputy On Leave After DUI Arrest

Posted

A deputy with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on lead following his arrest on suspicion of DUI.

According to officials, Jacob Roberts was arrested early Sunday morning and booked into the Robertson County Detention Facility.

Additional details of his arrest were not available.

After he was taken into custody, police said staff were issued a direct order to treat Roberts as any other inmate.

However, the booking officer reportedly did not take his mugshot nor did the person put his record into the online data base. That employee was not identified.

Sheriff Bill Holt issued the following statement:

“We are investigating the failure to follow orders in the booking process. These type of actions will not be tolerated and those responsible will face serious consequences. We take seriously the integrity and reputation of fairness that we have exhibited during my administration at the sheriff’s office, and we will hold accountable those who behave in a contradictory manner.”

The internal investigation into both matters was ongoing.
