A semi caught on fire on Interstate 40 in Putnam County shutting down the road.
The incident happened around 10:45 a.m. Thursday in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 272, not far from Smithville Highway.
Details had not been released regarding the cause of the fire or if any injuries were involved.
A photo from the scene showed the semi burned to the ground. The trailer appeared to be intact.
The roadway was closed to eastbound drivers as crews worked at the scene. Westbound traffic was not affected.
Crews estimated the roadway would be cleared by 1 p.m.
