A man was hurt after what police called a "targeted shooting" in a Hendersonville neighborhood.
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Friday at the Autumn Creek community off Anderson Road. Residents reported on Facebook that police gave the all clear around 1:20 a.m.
Hendersonville police placed dozens of evidence markers at the scene. A vehicle blocking the entrance to the community was riddled with bullet holes. Police said the vehicle belonged to the victim. One man was taken to the hospital before police arrived. He's expected to survive.
Police said they're looking for multiple gunmen. Despite calling this a targeted shooting, officers do not believe the victim and gunmen knew each other.
The community's main entrance was blocked off for several hours while police investigated.
No one was taken into custody during the search. Officers planned to canvass the neighborhood Saturday.
Anyone with information has been asked to call the Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400.
