An investigation remains ongoing after shots were fired at the home of Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. Monday outside Arnold's home on Osborne Lane in Murfreesboro.
Officials with both the Murfreesboro Police Department and Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
The incident was allegedly a drive-by shooting. No injuries were reported.
At least six shell casings were found outside of Arnold's home. There were no indications that any of the rounds penetrated the home.
The sheriff's office confirmed Arnold, his wife, and children were all inside when they heard gunshots.
It was unknown if the home was targeted.
The suspects took off and remain at large. The motive for the shooting was unknown.
