A soldier has been reunited with his dog nearly a year after she went missing.
Officials with Montgomery County Animal Care & Control said Eric Galvan’s dog, Emma, went missing right before he was getting ready to deploy about a year ago.
This week, several students were driving home from school when they saw a dog walking down Meriwether Road in Clarksville.
They brought her to animal control and she was scanned for a microchip. They were able to contact Galvan and reunite him with Emma about 20 minutes later.
