The Tennessee State Library and Archives has been inviting families gathered for the Thanksgiving holiday to come learn more about their past.
In honor of Family History Day, the Library and Archives has been set to open the Saturday after Thanksgiving for the fifth consecutive year.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., Manuscripts Archivist Heather Adkins has planned to present an hour-long genealogy workshop for beginners. After the workshop, staff members were scheduled to be on hand to help visitors with their research until 4:30 p.m.
The workshop is free, but reservations would be required and must be made by Wednesday, November 25. Reservations can be made online by clicking here. tslafamilyhistoryday.eventbrite.com
