Stolen Glass Truck Found In Georgia

Posted

A truck used to haul glass for a local company has been found after it was stolen in September.

Bill Evans, the owner of Evans Glass, said the incident happened September 27. They had loaded the glass in the large, pink, over the road truck the day before, and surveillance video caught it being driven away about six hours after it was loaded.

A truck driver spotted the truck in the parking lot of a truck stop in Hahira, Georgia in November, according to Evans. The truck was not damaged, and the custom glass was still loaded for delivery.

Evans has since contacted the insurance company who now owns the truck and glass. He said his new truck was expected to arrive Wednesday.

The thieves allegedly removed cinder blocks from the corner of the building to break in and steal the truck.

According to reports, the truck and custom glass were worth about $65,000.

The surveillance video also showed a black Jeep Wrangler in the area around the time of the crime.

Anyone with information on the thieves’ identities has been asked to call police.
