Middle Tennessee State University students marched in protest Monday to urge the school to change the name of a campus building.
The group "Change the Name of Forrest Hall" wanted to do just that - rename the building because of its association with Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Confederate General.
Students marched to the building with a symbolic coffin where they then stuffed a dummy with the general's likeness into it.
A task force was recently assembled to discuss what to do about the name of building, but this group said there's nothing to discuss.
The task force's decision on what to do with Forrest Hall won't be made until next year.
