The suspect accused of killing a 7-year-old girl in Kentucky appeared before an Allen County judge where he was arraigned.
Timothy Madden was arraigned Wednesday afternoon on several charges in the death of Gabbi Doolin.
According to previously released court documents, the 38-year-old was indicted on one count of kidnapping, first degree rape of a victim less than 12-years of age, first degree sodomy of a victim less than 12-years of age, and murder.
His attorney entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.
If convicted, Madden could potentially face the death penalty.
Doonlin’s body was found on the evening of November 14 in a creek near a wooded area behind Allen County-Scottsville High School.
Investigators said Madden sexually assaulted, strangled and drowned her in a nearby creek. He was arrested just one day after her emotional funeral.
A judge has scheduled his next appearance for July 13 at 1:30 p.m.
